Why it matters

Back pain doesn't wait. Neither should relief.

Tennis balls slip. Foam rollers blur the pressure. The Reliefboard was built for the 80% of us who live with recurring back tension — and want relief that actually works.

80%
of adults experience back pain — the leading cause of disability worldwide (WHO).
£12bn
spent annually in the UK on back-pain treatments, most of them temporary fixes.
3 min
of focused bodyweight pressure is all it takes to release most tension knots.
Target any zone

Six pain zones. One board.

Two peg positions — top and middle — cover every hotspot from your neck to your glutes. Tap any dot to see which peg to use.

1
Upper neck + base of skull
Mini peg · top position · gentle targeted pressure
2
Traps + shoulder blade
Rollerball · top position · 360° rolling release
3
Rhomboids between blades
Pointy · middle position · deep trigger-point release
4
Lats + mid-back
Round · middle position · broad muscle release
5
Lower back + QL
Round · middle position · full bodyweight
6
Glutes + piriformis
Pointy · middle position · sciatic relief
How it works

Three steps. Drug-free relief.

Usable standing, sitting, or on the floor — anywhere you can lean against a wall. No assistance required.

01

Place

Choose a peg, slot it in, and position the board against a wall at the height of your tension. Two attachment points — top for upper back, middle for lower.

02

Lean

Press your back into the peg. Your bodyweight does the work — adjust the depth by leaning harder or softer. You're always in control.

03

Relieve

Slowly shift side to side or up and down. Most users feel noticeable release within 2–3 minutes per area. Use daily or as needed.

Four Reliefboard pegs in close-up detail

Every muscle. Every intensity. Every day.

Round

Broad, forgiving pressure. Best for beginners and large muscle groups — lats, glutes, mid-back.

Rollerball

Steel ball tip with 360° movement. Rolls along the spine and traps. Mimics a therapist's thumb.

Pointy

Targeted trigger-point release. For stubborn knots deep in the rhomboids, QL, and piriformis.

Mini

Precision pressure for small areas — neck base, shoulder blades, and tight sub-occipital muscles.

Our story

Built for my wife. Tested in care homes. Made for everyone.

I'm a product designer by trade. When my partner's chronic back tension stopped her sleeping, I started prototyping in my workshop — sketches, sawdust, early 3D prints.

"It wasn't meant to be a product. It was meant to let her rest."

Friends saw it. Then their physios. Then a local care provider asked if staff could use it on shift. After six months of daily use across three care homes, the feedback was the same: more, please.

The Reliefboard you hold today is the 17th version — refined by every person who ever leaned into it.

Materials

Made from yesterday's plastic.

The Reliefboard is cast in Trifilon Revo — an industrial-grade biocomposite made from recycled plastic reinforced with natural flax fibre.

It's stronger than pine, lighter than aluminium, and when its life is over, it's 100% recyclable. One board, built to outlast a decade of daily use.

Questions

Answers first.

Still unsure? Email us at info@grein.co.uk — the founder reads every message personally.

Is it safe if I've had back surgery or a slipped disc? +

Always speak to your GP or physio first. You control the depth at all times — lean in more or less as needed. It's been used successfully by people recovering from minor disc issues, but we recommend medical sign-off for serious conditions.

How long until I feel results? +

Most users feel noticeable release within their first 3-minute session. Lasting relief builds across the first week of daily 5–10 minute use as muscles begin to unwind.

Does it work for neck or glute pain too? +

Yes. Two peg positions let you target anywhere from the base of your neck to your glutes. The Mini peg is especially effective for smaller neck and piriformis knots.

Will it damage my walls? +

No. Every Reliefboard ships with protective wall pads that distribute load evenly. Works against painted plaster, tile, or brick without scuffing.

What if it doesn't work for me? +

30-day trial. Use it for a full month. If it doesn't help, email us and we'll refund in full — including return postage. No form to fill out.

Your back is waiting.

Relief, in the time it takes to make a cup of tea.
